A lifelong interest in everything related to pregnancy and birth, combined with my own birth experiences, inspired me to become a doula. I completed my birth doula training in 2005 and am certified through DONA. I thoroughly enjoy the process of meeting with my clients and developing a relationship prior to the birth. I love to teach and share my knowledge about birth and, in turn, learn all about my client’s hopes and wishes for their own birth experience. Birthing your baby can be one of the most powerful experiences in a woman’s life and I feel blessed to be able to share in those special and intimate moments. I am a birth and postpartum doula offering services in the Greater Vancouver area. I am also a childbirth educator. As well, I have completed a training to support women who use 'HypnoBabies' hypnosis during labor and birth. I have been supporting new families since 1989. I completed DONA certification in the early 1990's. In addition, I began a postpartum in home care service in Vancouver and the doulas I trained work with high risk mothers, for example, a mom who has had a Cesarean section or one who had complications after birth, or a mom suffering with postpartum depression. I have over 20 years experience working with new mothers and plenty of experience helping moms with breastfeeding. I have attended hundreds of births including both home and hospital.
